As both a therapist and a digital marketer, I know what that feeling is like. There are a lot of marketers (and therapists) out there, and it can feel like the space is crowded. But just because a market is saturated doesn’t mean there’s no room for you—it actually means there’s demand. That’s a good sign!
What makes the difference isn’t trying to be like everyone else, it’s about leaning into what sets you apart. For me, my background in therapy shapes how I approach digital marketing, allowing me to connect more authentically with my audience.
Let’s break down a few ways you can stand out and thrive, even in a saturated market.
1. Embrace Your Unique Value Proposition (UVP)
Your UVP is the thing that makes you different from everyone else. Maybe it’s your personal experience, your approach, or even your story. When you clearly define what makes you unique, your audience will know exactly why they should choose you over the competition. Get specific about what you offer that others don’t, and make that the focal point of your marketing.
2. Rethink Your Audience’s Journey, Not Just Who They Are

Showcase your personal brand through storytelling, values, and the way you connect with your audience. Share behind-the-scenes moments, tell stories that reflect your journey, and connect with your followers on a human level. This isn’t just about what you sell—it’s about who you are.
4. Innovate with New Content Formats
If your content feels like it’s blending in with everyone else, it might be time to try something new. Experiment with different types of content, such as interactive polls, live videos, or in-depth case studies. You can also explore emerging platforms or niche spaces where your audience might be hanging out. Don’t be afraid to stand out with fresh approaches.
